Writing Room—Curriculum and Creative

Precious Musa is a poet and evolving creative intellectual whose work often engages the inner life of the body, fugitivity, and belonging. She participated in the 2020 Tin House Workshop and the 2018 Juniper Summer Writing Institute at UMASS. Her work appears in Cosmonauts Avenue, Black Perspectives, and The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA). Precious received her MFA in Creative Writing from Washington University in St. Louis where she interned at Dorothy, a Publishing Project.

"I'm proud of how I was able to contribute to the most recent NEH grant by drafting episode treatments for future episodes. I am especially proud of the work I did preparing to tell the story of William and Ellen Craft. That one is going to be AMAZING! I love working with SEE!"
